This same Pre-85 Conductor worked in short turn service Chaffee/Turrell/Chaffee on 2/25/02. He was on duty over 16 hours for the trip rate of $199.83 plus short crew pay. He would have made $325.24 plus short crew pay on the old pay system, losing $125.41 in one day due to trip rates. After running off the miles, OT would start after 17’57". He made $12.48 an hour this trip.

Another Chaffee Conductor was called to perform 3 multiple dog catches on 2/5/03. Instead of three basic days, he was paid one trip rate of $199.83 + $26.36 short crew pay, which totals $226.19. The old rates paid the engineer 390 miles for the trip.
